Children's Programs


Toddler Story Time meets Thursday mornings from 10:30-11:00 am. During Toddler Time, the children listen to familiar stories; learn favorite action rhymes like "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "I'm a Little Teapot" and play simple games. Each child must be accompanied by an adult to participate. Older children will not be allowed to attend. Advance registration is preferred.


Children ages 6 to 8, are invited to participate. PLEASE NOTE: In order for children to be eligible for this craft session, they must have already completed kindergarten. Register by calling the library at 920-699-3741. Advanced registration is preferred.


Preschool Story Hour, for children ages 3-6 is offered weekly throughout the year. Preschool Story Hour provides children the opportunity to listen to stories; learn finger plays and songs; and do simple crafts, all in a small group setting. A schedule of events, with the different weekly themes and planned activities, is available at the library's circulation desk. Parents wishing to register should call the library at 920-699-3741.

Summer Library Program
Area children, ages three and up through those just having completed eighth grade, are invited to participate in the annual summer library program. Participants will each receive a reading folder and can earn a variety of incentives by keeping track of the reading they have completed. Special events such as a magic show will be offered weekly until the end of July. Registration information and a schedule of events are available at the Johnson Creek Public Library the end of May.

It's fun to Learn!

The Johnson Creek Public Library offers fun and educational programs for children. Toddler Time invites children ages one and two and their caregivers to listen to familiar stories, recite favorite action rhymes, and play simple games.

Preschool Story Hour, for children ages 3-6, is offered weekly during the school year and summer sessions. Children listen to stories, learn finger plays and songs, and do simple crafts, all in a small group setting. Advance registration is required.
