Friends of the Library
All persons or organizations interested in being members of the Johnson Creek Public Library Friends, Inc. are welcome. At present time, dues are $5.00/year.The Johnson Creek Public Library Friends, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, whose purpose includes assisting the Johnson Creek Public Library in meeting community needs and promoting knowledge of and participation in library programs; providing funds for special needs of the Johnson Creek Public Library over and above municipal, county, state and federal funding; and providing a means for individuals and organizations to make monetary and non-monetary contributions to carry out the aforementioned purposes.
Meetings are held on the first Monday of February, April, June, September, and November, except where holidays interfere. In that case, the meeting will be held the second Monday of the month.Since 2000, the JCPL Friends have donated funds for the purchase of juvenile books on tape; magazine subscriptions; bookmarks and small display stands; a DVD rack; and an outdoor sign to advertise library programs. Proceeds from their annual used book sale are donated to the library's summer reading programs.
